Big Walk Known Issues

Before you start

• Record the platform, full version, host platform and exact symptom.
• Confirm every device has the current available update.
• Change one reversible setting at a time so the result is measurable.

Step-by-step

1. 1

   Voice cuts out or sounds quiet

   On 1.5.1, check the separate audio-category sliders. If your microphone is not detected, watch Microphone Activity in Settings > Audio, then check the selected input, hardware mute and hold-to-talk setting. Test close together: distance falloff remains intentional.

2. 2

   Poor frame rate

   Use the frame-rate limit added in 1.4.9, lower Render Scale, then lower Quality. Raise Render Scale gradually only after performance stabilizes.

   Cannot join

   Load the host character into the world, check the lower-left connection warning, sync system clocks and compare the first two version numbers.

   Jitter or voice dropouts

   Read the exact warning: 1.5.1 distinguishes a slow connection from an unstable one. Close network-heavy apps, try a stronger connection and check host performance; include the warning in a support report if it persists.

5. 5

   PS5 microphone failure

   Open the PlayStation Sound controls and confirm Mute Game Voice Chat is turned off.

Still stuck?

• Update the host to 1.5.1 before retrying the same world. House House fixed one challenge that could reset and become impossible in saves created before 1.4.9. This is a specific fix, not a recovery guarantee for every missing save.
• Treat black-screen, crash and missing-save posts as community reports until reproduced or acknowledged officially.
• Send support the platform, version, area, host role and exact sequence that caused the issue.
