How to Join Friends in Big Walk

Before you start

• Choose the player who will keep and resume the shared save.
• Select the 2-player, 3-player or 4+ version for the minimum expected group.
• Check that the first two version numbers match across every device.

Step-by-step

1. 1

   Start the host world

   Choose Host Game, load the existing journey or create one, and wait until the host character appears in the world.

   Find the current code

   Read it from the host menu before starting or open Session Details after loading. A new session generates a new code.

3. 3

   Protect the session

   Create the required session password and do not expose it or the Join Code while streaming.

4. 4

   Join with the code

   Guests open the join flow, enter the exact current code and password, then wait for the connection to finish.

   Use friends list when available

   An active same-service friend game should appear after the host loads. Mac App Store players use Join Code because that build has no Game Center friends list.

• Confirm the host is fully loaded and has no connection warning.
• Enable automatic date, time and time zone on every device.
• Compare the first two components of the game version; the third may differ under the official rule.
• Fully close and reopen Big Walk, then use the newly generated code. After a failed attempt, 1.5.1 clears the password prompt. Re-enter the current password and confirm the host has not restarted or changed it; a restarted session has a new Join Code.
