Compare platformsA reliable first-session plan
Pick the dependable host
The host owns the shared save. That person must start later sessions before everyone else can reconnect to the same journey.
Choose for the smallest steady group
The host selects a 2-player, 3-player or 4-plus-player version. The official FAQ recommends choosing for the minimum number expected to stay.
Connect through friends or a Join Code
Same-service friends can see an active host. Cross-platform groups can use the short code generated for each hosted session.
Keep communication inside the game
Voice and text change with distance and obstacles. External chat bypasses a central part of the puzzles, so the developer strongly recommends the built-in tools.
